Safety regulations and calamity management are very crucial to an organization’s functioning.

In the overcrowded market of catalog merchants delivering such compliance training, there is aggressive competition among the leading players to offer time-to-market courses to business clients that require training on a variety of regulations and compliance areas for a variety of audience.

Client Debrief: Key Market Player in the Training Catalog Business

A leading training catalog merchant in North America combines email, snail mail, telephone, and online ordering from its catalog library in its business model. It develops eLearning courses on risk management and compliance for Cisco Systems, GE, Apple Computer, Nike, Baxter Healthcare, and Tokyo Electron America, to minimize inherent safety hazards and create regulation-compliant functions within these organizations.

Business Challenge: Rapid Development of eLearning courses

The catalog merchant oversaw the requirement for reusable and customized eLearning courses that it can sell off-the-shelf with minor customizations and localize for audiences spread across the globe. With rising demand in the market for catalog courses especially in areas focusing risk management, it had to ensure a quick production turnaround time for high quality and consistent courses. It also wanted to reduce the overall production costs of the traditional eLearning development process. In addition, it wanted an easy-

to-use technical interface and easy review cycles. It approached Brainvisa for a solution.

Solution: RapideL Enhance, a tool to create eLearning Courses Rapidly

Due to tight deadlines, a traditional development model for eLearning could not be used.
These courses required to be developed rapidly and prioritized on a need-by-need basis.

Brainvisa proposed their rapid eLearning authoring tool- RapideL Enhance. RapideL Enhance is an MS Word based rapid learning solution designed to create full-fledged Flash based courses with high interactive and visual appeal. The MS Word interface is easy to use and required very little training time.

The technical framework of RapideL Enhance consists of a library of Instructional templates including content templates, learning interactive templates, and assessment templates to choose from. These preprogrammed templates are well categorized as per the need and provide developers with a simple, program free option of creating eLearning without the need to worry about Instructional soundness or visual appeal. The templates allow users to add content, images, animations and audio.

RapideL has been developed as an easy solution by integrating Flash-based interaction that gave design
flexibility, an XML storage that gave edit flexibility, an MS Word framework that gave interface flexibility.

The MS Word interface provides support for multiple languages thus making it very simple to create the same course in different languages.

Benefits: A Win-win Situation for the Catalog Merchant

Brainvisa, over the past 24 months, has been consistently delivering quality solutions by following instructional and technical approaches.
