Ranked amongst Germany’s leading business schools, The WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is one of Germany’s few elite private universities, located near Koblenz, Germany. It is on the Rhine river in one of Europe’s best connected and most beautiful areas, between Germany’s busiest metropolitan areas Frankfurt and Cologne/Duesseldorf, and close to France, Benelux and Switzerland.

WHU pursues excellence in everything it undertakes: our degree and continuing education programs comprise Bachelor, Master of Science, full time MBA, Executive MBA, PhD programs and post PhD qualifications. These programs are characterized by innovative curricula, superior teaching, outstanding research and first class international partnerships. We provide our students with an intellectually stimulating, creative atmosphere where they can thrive and learn.

With a 150 partner universities across the world international experience is a crucial element of our management learning approach. Our high standards demand dedication from everyone. WHU has been repeatedly rated as one of the top business schools in national and international rankings. In 1998, we were the first German business school to be awarded the EQUIS accreditation, the European blue ribbon for high quality international business schools. Our Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA program is also AACSB accredited. As a result, we implement rigorous quality assurance to our teaching, research and administrative centers.

The basis for our success is established by our mission statement, which prescribes the pursuit of excellence via 3 Ps: passion, people and performance. We work with people from academic, business and political spheres who share this mission. Our lovely Vallendar campus regularly hosts visits from business experts, politicians and leading researchers.
Globalization, deregulation and technological innovation expose companies to increased market pressure. Fast changing markets force managers to think creatively and strategically to gain and sustain competitive advantage for their companies in different world regions. Thus, continuously broadening horizons and enhancing skills is the key to making a difference as a manager.

With this in mind, WHU offers two taught Masters programs aimed specifically at experienced business managers.
The Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA program is a unique program offered jointly by WHU and the Kellogg School of Management in the United States, one of the world’s top business schools. With a strong emphasis on team leadership, internationalism and high management performance, the EMBA program is ranked number 13 in the world in the Financial Times Executive MBA rankings 2006 and is one of the top Europe based programs. Our Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA students have an average of nine years work experience including managerial responsibilities and the two-year program is designed to fit around their work schedule, taking place at weekends and during ‘live-in’ weeks, making the program suitable for international students based in the Middle East. International modules are taught on Kellogg campuses in Chicago and Miami, as well as elective modules in top partner schools Toronto, Tel Aviv and Hong Kong.

In addition to the EMBA, WHU offers a full-time MBA program to students with professional business experience. The full-time MBA program is designed to equip participants from all over the world with skills in international strategy, change, and competition. The 16 month program is taught on the lovely Vallendar campus and incorporates study modules at our leading partner schools – Kellogg School of Management Chicago USA, the China-Europe International Business School in Shanghai, and the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore, India.

WHU has an established global network of industry contacts. We regularly offer a variety of specially designed executive development programs for companies such as L’Oreal, Renault and METRO Group amongst others. Each tailored program is developed in close co-operation with the client, and continuous feedback ensures that common goals are identified and met. The quality of our tailored executive programs ensures that companies return to WHU year after year.

We believe that learning is a lifelong experience. Improving your skills and adding new ones is a serious investment in your future. WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management is a full service business school for the 21st century, constantly adapting to provide career-enhancing programs for today’s global managers.
